Counseling Services

We all experience ups and downs in life, the stresses, conflicts and challenges that occur as part of daily living. Often we deal with these situations on our own or with the help of family and friends. Sometimes however, it helps to talk to an experienced counselor.

 

Your employer recognizes how important you are to the success of the organization and so provides this valuable service to support the health and well being of you and your family.

 

CONCERN offers free, short-term counseling for employees and members of their family, providing counseling for either work or personal problems. Our extensive network of experienced, highly trained professionals ensures that a counselor will be located reasonably close to your work or home.

 

Counseling is voluntary and confidential. CONCERN will not reveal your information to anyone, including your employer, without your written consent.

 

Crisis counseling is available at (800) 344-4222, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

A CONCERN counselor can help you sort things out and get to the heart of the problem. It is a here and now, problem solving approach to develop a strategy to resolve the situation. If ongoing or specialized services are needed, the counselor will refer you to an appropriate resource.

 

Language Assistance Availability

You can request an interpreter at no cost to speak with CONCERN: EAP or a counselor. To request an interpreter or ask about written information in your language, first call CONCERN at (800) 344-4222. Someone who speaks your language can help you. If you need more help, call the HMO Help Center at (888) 466-2219.
